Congregational Outreach
 Led By: Linda Denbow

Congregational Outreach is a new combination of the former Congregational Life and Mission Outreach committee. It incorporates the responsibilities into a new mission under a new name.

The mission of the Congregational Outreach is to show God's Love to the members of the congregation and to serve God's world by planning, organizing, and providing for congregational fellowship and support as well as mission and ministry in the community.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing plans to provide for visitation, cards, communicating members' needs to the pastor, and recognition of births and baptisms. Also included: providing fellowship meals or refreshments at events for the congregation and its various small groups; and offering support and meals in times of funerals and grief.

Furthermore the committee implements a welcome program including greeters, registration and follow up; developing a long-range program for reaching non-churched persons; and to develop and execute a process to assimilate new members into our congregation. Additionally, the committee is called to serve God's world through addressing the needs of those who are hurting. Responsibilities are to involve the church in community ministries, to sponsor special drives for donations of items/gifts as appeals arise, to provide leadership and creative ideas for ways to increase Christian outreach, to recommend to the session our congregations’ commitment to Unified Mission giving, to recommend to FAS inclusions in the annual operating budget.
